Between her thumb and fingers, 9-year-old Natalie Beauchamps clicked together castanets, striking a sharp sound from the two, small shells. Flamenco performer and teacher Clarita Filgueiras explained how to strike a clean, sharp sound from the percussive instrument. All eyes were on Filgueiras as she tapped and twirled dancing flamenco, a passionate and seductive Spanish dance.
